A building product must either be free of or declare any harmful Red List chemicals and meet all Appropriate Sourcing Imperatives as determined by the ILFI. GreenGirt required no changes to its formulation or material components because it was designed to be free of harmful ingredients.
Yes, but there are a few details that need to be examined first. GreenGirt has not been designed to support a dead load of a brick system, so standard brick ledges and standard steel lintels are to be used. For attachment, fasteners should be installed along the centerline of the exterior flange of the girt or closer to the web, and the pintle location should also be installed along the centerline of the exterior flange or closer to the web.
RJ-711, Pos-I-Tie, and HVR-195VB brick ties have been approved for use, with the 90-degree angle toward the top of the exterior flange of the GreenGirt for RJ-711 and HVR-195VB. For other options, contact A2P Engineering for written approval. If additional structural capability is needed, use crosswise hat channels of sufficient capacity for brick tie attachment.
Yes. This level of thermal performance was once reserved for a select few products, but now you can use SMARTci on virtually any cladding you wish.
Yes. We have Class 1 fire ratings, ASTM E84 and NFPA 285 testing.
No. SMARTci installs faster than traditional methods. GreenGirt’s insulation retention cleat eliminates inefficient and costly methods of through-fastening.
Yes. You can find details, specs, and contact info here.
Yes. SMARTci has been field-tested via finite element analysis with ASTM and UL agencies. All components and materials in the SMARTci system have been vigorously tested and proven in the construction industry.
